The value of a plan
We celebrate efforts: either the amount of calories burned, or the amount of unpleasantness dealth with. No one really looks at "the plan."
The most myopic view is fixating on events; companies becoming unicorns, or the launch of a big product, etc. An entrepreneur, however, discerns the long timeline of effort that precedes success. But that's still not enough.
A broader view will also uncover the plan that preceded all efforts and events. The difference between two decades of random motion, and 20 years of growing impact, is a plan. So, it pays to look at "the plan."
