Jobs become boring because they allow you to do only what's convenient, regardless of whether it's valuable or useful. A different approach can give new life to work.

Instead of asking, "what can I easily do?," one can ask, "what is a valuable result to achieve?" It doesn't matter whether the corresponding work is tough or easy, as fixating on only the "inconvenient" is just as wrong as fixating on the "convenient."
